Don't have much to blog about today, just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy 4th of July! We are blessed to live in a country where we have our freedom and the right to do as we please. Thank you to all the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the military that are allowing us this right. My heart and prayers are with each and every one of you.
We live in a beautiful country and I am glad to call it my home.
Happy Independence Day!!!

We always have someone to look up to from the time we are born and even into our adult years. I am lucky because I have two people that I feel are heroes and have shown me what strength is all about.
The first person is my mom. She was diagnosed in 1999 with breast cancer. She had to have a mastectomy and lymphectomy and then rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. On top of that, she was also taking chemo medicine by mouth. She never complained about the treatments, or losing her hair. She still had time and energy for everyone that came to see her even her grandkids. At her five year mark for remission, she was helping my baby sister who was pregnant with her first child, my sweet nephew Jorgen Anders, and as she was walking into Sarah's house she fell on the porch and immediately started screaming. My sister called 911 and they rushed my mom to the hospital. After they got her there and did xrays, they found out she had broken her hip and thigh. They proceeded to do surgery the next day and when they were done came out to tell us they were sending part of her bone off because it didn't look right and the fall she had should not have shattered her hip and thigh the way it did. While she was recuperating, we got lab results back and was told that my mom had bone cancer. We were all devastated! My sweet, strong Mom simply said " We will beat it.". Ten years later, she is still fighting her battle with bone cancer. She is still taking chemo which zaps her and the chemo has spread, but she continues to stay strong and have such a great attitude that you can't help but believe that she will beat it.
She is any amazing woman, my hero, and the best momma in the world. Thank you for making me strong Mom, and I love you very, very much!!
My second hero is my Daddy. I have always been a Daddy's girl since I was little. He would practice softball with me and made me a darn good pitcher throughout even my adult years of playing ball. He was diagnosed a couple of years ago with lymphoma cancer. He has had to take treatments and been put on alot of medicine, but also stays confident that he can beat his cancer too. He is always in good spirits when I see him or talk to him and the most amazing Daddy in the whole world! I love him to pieces! Keep fighting Daddy!
Please pray for all those out there with cancer that we will find a cure for every single type and stop this horrible disease that puts so much suffering and even death on those that we love and care about. God has many miracles, we just have to be willing to accept them whatever they are.

I bought my young daughter some fake tattoos the other day, 60 in all, and she taught me a lil lesson, do not leave a 6 year old with 60 tattoos because they will be all over her body! That's right, she used every last one from the top of her lil nose to the tops of her toes(pretty talented to pull that one off!). It was the absolutely funniest thing I have ever seen in my whole life and she was extremely proud of them. She thought she was an artist! I thought "yeah, a tattoo artist!". I sometimes miss childhood for this simple fact, you get up every morning only to think about what you might do or play that day. Its the simple life. I also like it because at this age, they are completely and brutally honest. You always get a direct and unbiased answer whether you like it or not!
Anyway, cheers to childhood and my "lil tattoo artist".

They have some really cute stuff there and hopefully you will like my new background. I will try to keep learning how all this works and get some more interesting stuff on my blog.
